Bubblegum Crisis Links

To the Character Shrine Links
To the Images Links To the Corporate links

I have attempted to gather a few Bubblegum Crisis links here, including various character Web Shrines, image sites, sound files, plot synopses, etc. There are hundreds which are not included, but these are the ones I've visited and that I feel have either something unique to add in terms of content, information, or just overall quality. However, this page is not intended as a links compilation - I generally don't add new links unless I personally feel that the site has some unique feature. Please enjoy them, and if you come across one which you feel is excellent but not included on this page, please tell me and I'll go looking for it myself.

Thanks a lot.

General Information Links

Bubblegum Crisis Information Page

Many people find this page to be excellent, and I agree it has a lot of good and useful stuff on it. It has a FAQ and it's a great site if you're new to Bubblegum Crisis or if you want general information and links to sites with greater detail.

Bubblegum Crisis Links of Links Page

This page has a huge number of links to other Bubblegum Crisis pages, some of which are duplicated on this page. It's a good reference page, and I used it extensivly while building my Bubblegum Crisis webpages. The original site at universal.com is no longer available, and so what was the mirror is now the original.

Raven's Garage

This site contains a lot of good information relating to the technology of Boomers, hardsuits, motorslaves, etc. It has details regarding the AD Police, weapons, and some of the other technologies which I chose not to cover.

Interactive MegaTokyo

This page has an interactive map of MegaTokyo, where you literally walk around the different sites in the city where various things have happened. Heed the warning about getting lost, though.... For some reason as yet unknown to me, the original site is no longer available, but I'm leaving this site listed for if/when it comes back up.

Bubblegum Crisis Fan Fiction Guide

While I'm not a fanfic fan (I prefer to not have my perceptions of the OVAs altered by someone else's), many people find fanfic enhances thier enjoyment of the series. This site is for you. It's a little out of date, but other than that, it's all but comprehensive.

Synopsis Index

This page provides an excellent set of spoiler-level synopses for all the 8 BGC episodes as well as cast lists of who was in each episode, what the music was, and who worked on the episode.

Another Bubblegum Crisis FAQ

This page has the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list for alt.fan.bgcrisis, the UseNet newsgroup devoted to the discussion of all things Bubblegum.

Bubblegum DYN List

This page hosts an unofficial Did You Notice (DYN) list for BGC. It breaks down the list into categories like "Isn't it convenient (IIC)" to describe each interesting tidbit. This page is the non- framed page. If you'd prefer the page with frames, please go to the base page by clicking here.

Bubblegum A2Z

Andy McDermott has given us this excellent alphabetical listing of just about everything relating to Bubblegum Crisis that could be alphabetized. It's got more information than I would care to attempt to collect. Kudos to Andy for doing the work. It's currently located at Raven's Garage.

Character Shrine Links

These sites are all related to thier respective characters. Some of the characters have more than one shrine devoted to them, and in this case, I've included the ones which I've visited and enjoyed. Most of the shrines contain images, vital statistics, links to other pages, and misc. other goodies. Since they all have more or less the same content, albiet devoted to a different character, I've only included the differences in the description of the shrine itself.

Linna Yamazaki Shrine

I really like this site visually. Besides the standard shrine stuff, this site has even more good images of Linna than it had last time I visited, some of which are not available elsewhere else. It's pretty detailed, but occasionally a little hard to read.

The Temple of the Mountain Headlands

Another Linna site that has some fantastic visuals. This site is all-around good, with some multimedia files (MPEGs, animated GIFs, and speech tracks) and "Avatars" which may have been intended to be icons.

The Shrine to Priss Asagiri

This site is full of images I've never seen on the Web before, plus a lot of pretty in-depth information on Priss. My only complaint with it now is that reading the blue text on the black background is hard on my eyes, but it's still pretty good.

The Sylia Stingray Worship Center

This site is a little small, and the text vs. background contrast isn't ideal, but it's still a decent site that has a few multimedia files and a small essay on the enigma of Sylia Stingray.

Nene Picture Archive

With the recent fall of the The Nene-Chan Shrine, this site is the best Nene site available, IMO. It contains a small bio area, several cels and animated gifs, and a lot of images.

The Temple of Anri-chan

This is the only shrine to Anri that I know of, so it absolutely deserves a place here. Now all we need is a shrine to Sylvie....

The Leon McNichol Shrine

This site is small, but it's the first Leon shrine that I've found on the web. It contains a small bio and a bunch of decent quality Leon images that I haven't found elsewhere on the web.

Largo Shrine

This is a new character shrine which is still under construction. It looks to be interesting when completed, has a started Largo fanfic, and a bunch of Largo images.

A Shrine to Largo/Mason

This site has a theory page regarding Largo, some connections between Largo and Sylia, and a bunch of images.

The Vision Page

This new page is devoted entirely to giving Vision/Reika Chang a Web presence. About time.... It has biographical information and some images.

Bubblegum Crisis/Crash Image Links

The links below are a few of the image sites which I have used in the construction of my Bubblegum Crisis and Bubblegum Crash pages. Many other sites have been used as well, but these are the sites which I have used the most or at which I found some of the more interesting images.

AFS Bubblegum Crisis Images

The images at this site are mostly screen captures made by the Anime Film Society at St. John's University. They're not very large, but they have a lot of the non-standard images that other images sites don't have.

Bubblegum Crisis CD Images

This site has scans from the two vocal CD collections, including liner notes, words, etc.

AnimEigo Bubblegum Crisis Images

I've used a good number of these images, although smaller versions of many of them are available from other sites. Be aware that the JPEG versions of the images are HUGE, both screen-wise and memory wise.

Swedish University SUNET BGC Images

This site has a huge number of images. It is a mirror of the original (and now unfortunately defunct) Venice image archive. I prefer the quality of JPEGs over GIFs, which the archive is mostly comprised of, so I didn't use a lot of them, but even the GIFs are reasonably good quality, even if you can get better images from other sites on occasion.

Bubblegum Crisis/Crash Corporate Links

These links include the various corporations who have produced Bubblegum Crisis materials of one form or another, including distributers, producers, the RPG, etc.

AIC

Anime International Corporation is the company which produces a large number of the anime the world gets to see, including movies, OAVs, and TV series. Be sure to check out the rumors and official news pages about the upcoming Bubblegum Crisis TV series and movie.

AnimEigo

AnimEigo is the US company which does distribution of Bubblegum Crisis, Bubblegum Crash, and the Hurricane videos in the U.S. This link connects to the opening "What's New" page. To find Bubblegum, click on the "Products" icon to reach the Bubblegum Crisis page itself.

Youmex

One of the companies which was responsible for bringing us Bubblegum Crisis. This site is mostly in Japanese, so be prepared to adjust your browser or be unable to read anything but random characters. The other company, Artmic, no longer exists.

R. Talsorian's BGC Page

R. Tal. Games, the makers of role-playing games such as CyberPunk, Dream Park, and Mekton Zeta Plus (the anime mecha playing game), has now brought all of us BGC fans the Bubblegum Crisis RPG. Three books are currently available, the main rulebook, the Bubblegum Crisis - Before and After book, and Bubblegum Crisis EX. In addition, the main rulebook has a lot of general series information. A lot of fans hate the RPG due to some inaccuracies in the details, so be warned.

Madman (Australia)

These folks have the honor of distributing Bubblegum Crisis and the related series in Australia. A whole new group of people getting exposure to the series, if they didn't already own AnimEigo copies....

Dark Horse Comics

A lot of people absolutely HATE the Grand Mal BGC manga, but this the company which put it out, and they deserve to have a link. If you would like to find information on it, use the search feature.
